Carrot-tahini soup~We tried this one at the end of last week and liked it so much, I’m making it again! Vegan.
Spanakopita~Mountain Yard Farm organic spinach, local feta, fresh mozz. and ricotta! In Organic Phyllo with organic red onions and seasonings.
Fresh Salsa.
Asian Slaw~By request. A nutty, wilted slaw.
Herb chevre & buttermilk dressing.
Chocolate Cream Pie!
I felt foolish planting peas in March, but they’re all up, along with asparagus, garlic & rhubarb. Many local greens are for sale in the shop these days. I also have a nice selection of early, cold-hardy plants from Red Wagon Plants for sale. Our own plants are coming along, too.
Baked goods this week: Tues. multigrain bread, currant scones, cookies. Weds. currant scones & cookies, Thurs. ginger scones & cookies, Fri. potato bread, apple pies, ginger scones, cheese scones & cookies. Sat. Pies & cheese scones. not many pies this week - - call if you really want one!
