Menu this Week!

Foote Street Farmstand Menu week of June 28th:


Four Good Greens~Local organic mustard & spinach & local beet greens & chard mixed with caramelized organic onions & local feta.

moroccan carrot soup~carrots, organic onions, local apples, organic lemon juice and orange juice with fennel seed, cumin, cinnamon, smoked paprika & salt. Garnish with sour cream and fresh cilantro if desired. sorry - - sold out!

cuke & beet salad~ local beets, gourmet cucumbers, red onions, local yogurt, our dill, vinegar, local honey, salt and pepper

Our produce: organic sugar snaps, strawberries, garlic scapes, herbs, rhubarb, raspberries.


Local greens include: Humongous organic Orb Weaver Farm head lettuce, Nola’s organic salad mix, Mtn. Yard Farm organic arugula & red russian kale, and Marble Rose Farm organic strawberries.

Menu this Week!

Foote Street Farmstand Menu week of June 21st:

Kori’s hard at work on our prepared food for the week:

Three Good Greens~Local organic mustard & kale & local chard mixed with caramelized organic onions & local feta.

Buttermilk Chevre dressing~ Buttermilk, Blue Ledge Farm Chevre, chives, salt, White wine vinegar, organic lemon juice, pepper, Olive oil.

Creamy Asparagus Soup~Local Spinach, Canadian Asparagus, local & organic milk, organic onions, spices and herbs.

Chilled Strawberry Soup~local organic strawberries, organic orange juice, local yogurt, lime juice, fresh organic ginger and more!

Foote Street Farmstand Menu week of June 14th:

Savory Slaw made Saturday - - two quarts lefts.

Tues./Weds. we made:

Roasted Asparagus marinated in pomegranate-citrus juice~Canadian Asparagus roasted in olive oil, tossed with kosher salt & bathed in pomegranate molasses, organic orange & lemon juices & zest.

Potato Spinach Soup~Local potatoes & spinach cooked in a broth made with lots of organic onions & local garlic caramelized in organic sunflower oil, then seasoned with vinegar & organic lemon juice. Serve with fresh chive butter or sour cream.

Potato-crusted Quiche with Broccoli & Cheddar~Local potatoes, organic onions, organic broccoli, organic Butterworks Farm cheddar cheese, local eggs, local organic milk, local half & half, Parmesan Cheese, olive oil, salt, pepper & nutmeg.

Baked goods this week: The usual scone schedule, double chocolate cookies, then peanut butter, Strawberry-rhubarb pie for the weekend, Tuesday multigrain bread, Friday potato bread and next week kori’s bread in between! We tested it Monday & it was fabulous - - just need more pans...

Our produce: We still have some huge heads of lettuce, beautiful escarole, Frisee, herbs (chives, mint, oregano, parsley, sage, lemon balm...), rhubarb, and we’ve begun picking small amounts of our strawberries & sugar snap peas.

Local greens include: Nola’s organic salad mix, Mtn. Yard Farm organic arugula & red russian kale, and local spinach.

The Organic Strawberries from Marble Rose Farm are still fabulous despite the rain and are now only $3.95/pt.

Annual seedlings will go on sale this weekend - - most packs $2.

Foote Street Farmstand Menu week of June 7th:

We still have a few jars of food from last week, which are good through Friday, this week. Tomorrow afternoon (Tuesday), I’ll make the following:

Asian Slaw~As usual!

Baked Tofu~also, as usual. FYI~I always make these the same week because when you mix them, they taste like Pad Thai!

Yesterday, Kelsey made a fresh batch of herb chevre dressing for all of our lovely greens: our lettuce & escarole, Mtn. Yard farm kale & arugula and Nola’s mixed greens. Also great as a veggie dip.

EXCITING NEWS of the week: tomorrow I pick Kori up from the airport, who will infuse the shop with great energy, new recipes & bread daily!

The Organic Strawberries from Marble Rose Farm are still fabulous despite the rain and we’ve begun making jam...

Many organic seedlings, seeds & seed potatoes are for sale.

Foote Street Farmstand Menu week of May 31st:

Thank goodness it’s raining today & maybe I’ll finish the list of prepared food below (otherwise, done tomorrow):

Fresh Salsa~Local tomatoes, organic onions, our garlic, our cilantro, organic lemon juice, organic cider vinegar, olive oil, salt, pepper & cumin.

Savory Slaw~Organic red & green cabbage, Local organic carrots, red onions, our parsley, local organic cider vinegar, organic lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper & caraway.

Either potato salad with asparagus or vichyssoise, yet to be determined.

Spanakopita~Just a small batch this week, with ours & Mtn. Yard farm organic spinach, Vt. Feta, caramelized red onions, local eggs, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper & our herbs in organic phyllo dough.

EXCITING NEWS! Marble Rose Farm organic strawberries are in & fabulous. We’ll be making biscuits most days. AND...Otter Creek Bakery wood-fired sourdough arrived fresh from the oven today & will be available fresh today & frozen for as long as it lasts. My personal favorite bread, it will be available regularly throughout the summer & advertised here & with a roadside sign.

Lots of rhubarb, gorgeous head lettuce, fresh herbs, some spinach & asparagus is available from our garden. We have Nola’s salad mix & arugula. Also local: garlic, pea greens, asparagus...

Many organic seedlings, seeds & seed potatoes are for sale.

The seedling pre-orders that were to be picked up June 1st are all ready!
