Foote Street Farmstand Menu week of March 8th:

Thanks to the many folks who came in last week to say hi and eat soup! Come in and wish me a Happy Birthday before March 15th for a free hot drink (coffee, tea, cocoa, hot cider, espresso...your choice!).

Due to the prevalence of many food allergies, i’m doing my best to list all of the ingredients in our prepared foods. If you suffer from a severe allergy, please double-check with me at the time of purchase Re: your specific allergy or sensitivity. We process all of the major allergens in our kitchen, except shellfish (soy, wheat, dairy, nuts, mushrooms, eggs, sesame seeds).

Carrot Apple Ginger Soup ~ Local organic carrots, local apple cider, caramelized onions & organic Hawaiian ginger, cooked in organic soybean oil with salt & pepper (dairy-free by request this week).

Potato & Spinach Soup ~ Local organic potatoes, organic onions, organic baby spinach, watercress, our garlic, vinegar, lemon juice, butter, salt & pepper.

Asian Shiitake Soup ~ Pa. Shiitake mushrooms (until we get VT. back), organic onions, local organic tofu, organic ginger, tamari (soy & wheat - - sorry, it will be wheat-free next time), sesame oil, olive oil, five-spice powder (cinnamon, fennel, cloves, star anise, white pepper), salt & pepper.

Savory Slaw ~ organic green & red cabbage, local organic carrots, organic red onion, organic parsley, local organic cider vinegar, organic lemon juice, olive oil, caraway, salt & pepper.

Mac’ & Cheese & Broccoli, too ~ Organic pasta (wheat), Organic broccoli, grafton, orb weaver & vt. ayr cheeses, local milk, local butter, panko (japanese bread crumbs), salt, pepper & nutmeg.

Baked goods this week: Tues. multigrain bread, currant scones, double chocolate cookies (wheat & dairy-free), pb cookies. Weds. currant scones & cookies, Thurs. ginger scones & cookies, Fri. potato bread, apple pies, ginger scones, cheese scones & macaroons. Sat. Pies & cheese scones.
